Very beautiful rooms, showers are nice, hot water at all times. 1 hour by car to the closest gate ( orpen gate ) from Kruger park. Food is very nice, you can also give special orders to chef Sibu, he will work out something :) Caroline is very helpful and was available at all times via WhatsApp. Definitely should try out the backyard bike ride, we could literally feed the giraffes and warthogs there, way closer than in Kruger park.

We were delighted with Ukuthula Bush Lodge. The staff and Jacques were very welcoming and helpful. The location is lovely and the design and setting of the Lodge is wonderful. Our room was extremely comfortable and well designed. comfortable in all respects.

We chose The Outpost Lodge for an impromptu 30th anniversary getaway. We have always wanted to visit the northernmost part of the Kruger to see how it compares to the rest of the park. The Outpost is situated on a hill overlooking the Luvuvhu River and the view from our room was breath-taking. The contemporary open plan rooms have retractable remote-controlled blinds, that offer uninterrupted views of the river when open. It was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime experience to sleep with no walls between you and the wilderness. On the second night, we were treated to elephants trumpeting just outside our room! The lodge is situated in a private concession. The staff mainly consists of members of the Makuleke tribe. We were treated like royalty and no effort was spared to make our stay a memorable one. It is evident that the staff are extremely well trained, but also that they love what they do. Our room was immaculately clean, the food was 5-star and wherever we went, we were greeted with friendly smiles. The fauna, flora and vistas in this part of the Kruger is by far the most impressive of the whole park. We were fortunate enough to visit both the Lanner Gorge and the Fever Forest on game drives. This is not the area of the Kruger you should go to if you want to see the big five, as you probably won’t, but that said, there is still a decent amount of wildlife to see. We saw elephant, zebra, nyala, impala, baboons, kudu and hippo.

Next to that we were even able to attend a bush walk with John, which was a completely new experience to us. Over all, everyone is very lovely and welcoming, the service, rooms, the lodge itself and food is just wonderful. Located within the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, Ivory Wilderness River Rock Lodge features a viewing deck, lounge and splash pool overlooking the Klaserie River. Perfect location, relaxed and comfortable. The staff were attentive, and very friendly. We felt extremely fortunate to have Craig as our guide.. so knowledgeable regarding the animals and the land. We learnt so much from him. And his patience and knowledge allowed us to see so many beautiful animals. Our stay exceeded our expectations.
